ISS Training on Implementation of Eurocodes Held in Niš

After Belgrade and Novi Sad, the Institute for Standardization of Serbia (ISS), today and yesterday, in cooperation with the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Czech Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing (UNMZ), organized a two-day seminar in the field of construction in the Regional Chamber of Commerce in Niš with the main topic: "Key issues of the application and application of Eurocodes in the field of concrete and reinforced concrete structures".


The seminar was opened by Radiša Knežević, Assistant Director of the Department for General Fields of Standardization, after that, Miroslav Chloupek, First Deputy President of UNMZ, presented the Czech Cooperation Development Program "Support to the Improvement and Development of the Serbian Quality Infrastructure Sector". The seminar was organized as the part of the afore mentioned Czech Cooperation Development Program.


The aim of the seminar was to provide the participants with a broad knowledge of design principles according to Eurocode 2, which was discussed by prof. Zoran Brujić, associate professor at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad, and Jelena Skoković, ISS NTC Secretary. Also, more than 30 participants had the opportunity to hear the Czech Republic's experience in the application of Eurocodes, their legislation in the field of construction, as well as the development of the second generation of Eurocodes, which was discussed by the Czech expert, Jana Markova from the Klokner Institute.
