SRPS EN ISO 22000 – new edition

In December edition of the Decision on published and withdrawn standards, ISS announced the publication of the latest edition of one of the standards bestsellers – SRPS EN ISO 22000, Food safety management systems - Requirements for any organization in the food chain.


Safe and sustainable food production is one of the greatest challenges of today and the new edition of this standard represents the answer to all food safety hazards that may occur due to the globalization of the food products trade. Food safety hazards can arise at any stage of the process, and guidelines provided in this standard related to the prevention, elimination and control of the hazard from the place of production to the place of consumption, thereby ensuring the necessary precaution and continuous improvement process.


This standard is intended for all organizations directly or indirectly involved in the food industry, regardless of their size and complexity – from feed producers, animal food producers, harvesters of wild plants and animals, farmers, producers of ingredients, food manufacturers, retailers, and organizations providing food services, catering services, cleaning and sanitation services, transportation, storage and distribution services, suppliers of equipment, cleaning and disinfectants, packaging materials and other food contact materials.


In the December edition of the Decision on published and withdrawn standards, in this field of standardization, ISS has announced the publication of four standards, i.e.; SRPS EN 646, SRPS EN 648, SRPS EN 1104 and SRPS EN 12498, which deal with paper and board intended to come into contact with foodstuffs.
